Sisters Danika and Ella Thiele grew up inspired by the Cape's seashores and nature trails. These snowbirds bring a sense of homeiness to their work in hand-crafted custom candles. Ever-aware of the growing waste in our American society, Danika decided to create candles using recycled, vintage containers and organic mixed scents. She deemed these "Reincarnate Candles" as thrice-upcycled goods, destined to be flowerpots after the candle's light goes out. Ella also crafts jewelry from upcycled beads and stones. Additionally, the pair hand-weave flower crowns made with local flowers from the Chatham Bars Inn Farm. The two of them learned how to braid flower crowns, or "haku leis," from the third Thiele sister, Madi, who lives in Hawaii. Ella and Danika are excited to be a part of the Orleans Artist Cottages this summer, a true dream for them both!

Walking the beaches of Cape Cod is a favorite activity of many, feeling the sand between your toes, the sounds of crashing waves, seagulls calling in the distance. This is the setting that called to me, the beach, this is part of my art purpose. I have developed a deep understanding and appreciation for nature while using it in my art to bring joy to myself and others.
I Graduated from Anna Maria College with an Art Business degree many years ago. It wasn’t until I moved that I was able to call Cape Cod my home. It was then, I truly realized what type of artist I was meant to be! I call myself an organic artist, using found materials from nature to create artistic pieces. I am always walking the beaches, Winter, Summer, Fall, Spring, finding little treasures that speak to me. Whether it be a beautiful piece of sea glass, driftwood or molted horseshoe crab, I love them all. If you are lucky enough to live here on Cape Cod or are just visiting, my pieces of art remind you of this beautiful place that we have been so lucky to have experienced.
