Hello, my name is Paula Curran, I’m the Artisan at Rock Harbor Design.  What started as a creative outlet for me in 2020 has transformed into this amazing business.  I’ve always had a creative mindset and decided to “ go for it” and haven’t looked back. My work is inspired by the sea and many of my pieces do reflect that coastal vibe. My wood pieces have a bit of whimsey and my watercolor art reflects my love for all things coastal.   I’m thrilled to be part of this amazing community of Artisans and I’m looking forward to meeting you at the cottages this summer.  

I have been living on Cape Cod for 5 years and am originally a landscape/abstract photographer. When I arrived I lived alone in the woods with many incredible birds and other wild animals. Originally a city kid (London and NYC) I saw the county as a place to visit and perhaps enjoy for a few weeks. It took a while to adapt and basically calm down. Now I enjoy the quiet along with all other living beings here on the Cape. Maybe the sounds of the ocean and the wind, they’re good.  The Wild Bird art prints are made with charcoal, graphite, watercolor crayons and paint. They are available in limited editions of 15 and smaller unlimited sizes. All are giclcee prints, meaning the ink is pigment-based and the paper is archival and acid-free. The bird prints are on Moab Entrada Natural Rag and the landscape photographs are on Moab Estrada Bright Rag. I color-grade and print everything myself. I also hope to have some original oil paintings and woodblock prints available this year.   This is my fifth year at the cottages and I always look forward to a great time with wonderful people, artists and visitors alike.
