The Savage Light was created in September, 2019 following the death of Andy Savage. Andy died from stomach cancer. He was athletic and loved anything outdoors. He loved camping and hiking with his family.
Andy was a real inspiration to many. He savagely fought his cancer and took advantage of any opportunity to help others struggling. He had an interest in working with the geriatric population. The Savage Light enables Andy's light to live on. It represents the importance of giving during life and lending a hand or ear to others struggling through life's challenges. We hope that sharing Andy's light will ignite hope and peace in others.
All proceeds are divided equally between two causes. Dana Farber in Boston has set up an account so that all donated monies go directly to research in gastric cancer. The Alzheimer's Family Support Center in Brewster, MA will use monies donated to benefit families involved in their services.
